A Very Welcoming Welcome!

yes I know it’s Friday the 13th! and yes I know that we only have 12 days left till Christmas… but this is red, correct? Does it not fit in with the holiday feel of Santa’s red coat?

This has been such an enjoyable canvas to stitch! Everything pretty much worked the first time…little to no reverse stitching! Just fun, fun, fun and pure stitching enjoyment. Canvas is by Annie Lane and seriously, I could stitch most of what’s in her line.

It’s almost finished…it really is! Just some more flowers need to bloom in that flower pot and that’s it! Notice the little red stitches in the margin of the canvas? that’s how I started each row of the wood slats to keep that end stitch nice and straight, a trick that I learned in class along the way.

Cindy I know that this is supposed to be a model for you and I will have it for you at market…but not sure I can part with this one! I am in love with it and I want to hang it on my walls. Sometimes it’s hard to say goodbye to your work.

AlleyCat was hard at work supervising my thread organization the other day. Thank you to Rainbow Gallery who keeps me in threads!

and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
