Are You Superstitious?

Didn’t we just have Friday the 13th last month? and another one, already? Seriously?

Well are you superstitious? I guess you could say that I am not, being that I have a black cat; AlleyCat, a tuxedo kitty; Sylvester and I did have another black cat a few years back named Felix the Cat.

In some nationalities such as Italian, 13 is actually a lucky number. Go figure!

okay AlleyCat, don’t get any ideas!

and soon I will be stitching this black kitty. A Labors of Love canvas in which AlleyCat was the model. I am anxiously awaiting its delivery. See you are not the only one that waits for a canvas!

As if I REALLY need to create yet another WIP (work in progress) Dianne Herman is coming to San Diego to teach her wildly successful Walking the Waters Edge for our ANG Guild.┬áThe weather is beautiful, we will be stitching close to the shore, Elizabeth of Needlepoint Now fame is winging her way down here for the class and to the spend the weekend in America’s Finest City…breakfast at The Cottage, retail therapy, dinner out with great friends, so what more could I ask for?

and speaking of black cats! AlleyCat says we will be pretty busy this weekend entertaining, so we will see you in a few days.

and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. My first cat M-Brr was a black cat with a white diamond at the throat and a swish between the two front legs. Minnie, our little one, was a tuxedo with a half-stache. Sienna, Minnie’s sister, is a brown tabby. I love them all. You don’t need me to tell you to have fun this weekend!

    • Always fun! and speaking of black cats, the reason why Meredith and I call each other “sistah” as at one time we both had 3 black cats, so we becames sistahs in black cats!
