Stitching on the Pischke Pocket

Pische Pocket? In case you are curious, a Pischke Pocket is a clever combination of stitching and a bag. When you are finished stitching, you then attatch it to a front of a canvas bag. What a great idea! and I am thinking why didn’t I think of it? Everything is packaged with allot of thought to compliment each other, the bag, the canvas and the colors of the threads.

I already had the canvas on stretcher bars ready for stitching. I am thrilled thinking that this will stitch up rather quickly being that it is on 10 mesh canvas. It comes along with a generous amount of Anchor Tapestry yarn and also some specialty threads in burgandy and purples that will be used for the grapes. This is a great project to work on when you really want to relax and get lost in your stitching. No plying, no counting, no laying…just cut your threads and stitch!  What could be better than that? There is also a selection of threads sent along to be used when you attacth the pocket to the bag. I am really enjoying stitching this canvas and am so pleased with the quality of it all.

AlleyCat is settled in for her night of supervision and cat naps. There is always a blanket or two thrown on the couch for the kids. Yes they have me well trained. and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
