By now I am sure you are thinking, what is she talking about? I have a few passions in life, my needlepoint, my baseball and my feline children and not necessarily in any special order. Somedays one wins out over the over. Last night was a baseball night in San Diego and was looking forward to a great game in a sold out park. I knew it was cold and would get colder, thought I was prepared with a sweater, light jacket, heavier coat and gloves. Okay work with me now as I have lived in California for 30 years now and I don’t do well with cold anymore. Well 50 something and rather windy is way too cold to be sitting outside watching a baseball game…am I out of my mind or what? so I left early…yes I did.
Came home to warm up with a glass of wine, some homemade chicken soup which is the extent of my cooking these days and some stitching. I worked away to the wee small hours of the morning on my Pische Pocket. Stitching on this is like having some comfort food, ooh so soothing and comforting. Even AlleyCat was having a fun evening as I gave her an empty roll of Kreinik to bat about the house. Today I am staying in and working on the panda and keeping warm! and until next time…keep on stitching
For you to leave the ballgame, it must have been brisk. Your pocket it looking good. Comfort food, your beloved cat and stitching — what could be better.
brisk was an understatement!
Vicky, you go to such lengths to cheer on your beloved Padres!! I totally understand – I’m the same way with college basketball.
I’m really enjoying your blog. Keep it up!!
