Did I? Did I? Only time will tell! My stitching hours since I have been back from Miami has been spent on this piece. Shouldn’t have been using my time for this when I have so much other things that I should be stitching…but I couldn’t help myself! It has been so much fun and I have enjoyed every single stitch. I am sure that your favorite needlepoint shop could order this for you too!
This canvas is by Kirk & Hamilton and the stitch guide is by Ruth Dilts & Joan Lohr. I just love, love, love this piece! Did I say love? Isn’t it the cutest? I zipped this right out to the finisher and I will keep my fingers crossed that I am not too late for this years cut off date. My holiday ornaments that I stitched last year for the new additions to this year’s tree have been delivered safe and sound to the appropriate finisher before I left for seminar, so they should be back any day now. I will cut the loops on the Turkey Work on the baby polar bear after it comes back from the finisher…or maybe not?!
I am thinking of signing up for this club for next years Christmas Ornaments. Have you seen the new Kelly Clark Heritage II Ornaments being brought to you by A Stitch in Time in San Marino, CA? Ooh I love these! You can order these with or without the stitch guide and threads or…and well why not? I love the way they are being stitched! I will be headed up there next weekend, so after I see them in person I might be in trouble.
I still have some more pictures of beautiful Miami that I haven’t shared with you yet. I can’t believe that it was just a week ago that I was there…
My house needs allot of attention since I have been away for so very long. You know the dusting and then those cats do leave evidence with their paw prints in places where I shouldn’t be seeing them. They just don’t listen! Dusting, watering the plants and orchids, lamenting over a few ivy plants that were on the balcony and didn’t quite make it in the summer heat that we have had in San Diego lately filled my day.
It is amazing how much “stuff” I brought home from my travels. I really didn’t buy that much or at least I didn’t think so? Since they were all needlepoint related trips, of course I have increased the stash with bags, magnets, a new fob, scissors, snap tray and yes a canvas or two…what am I crazy? There are new threads and colors being introduced by Rainbow Gallery, Dinky Dyes and Gloriana.
I spent the day today organizing all my new stuff into their proper places. I am starting to feel very caught up! Always a baseball game on today as I watched the Giants & Rockies, Dodgers and Nationals and Rangers vs the Angels. It is a very exciting time for the avid baseball fan as the hunt continues to reach playing in October.
In between my stitching, my next project that I have slated for myself is to go through the boxes and boxes of Halloween decorations that I have. Many years of collecting between what I purchased for the house and what I had at the shop. Now it is time to downsize and have it more manageable…always not missing that baseball game! Congratulations to the Washington Nationals and the Cincinnati Reds for already punching their tickets to the playoffs!
AlleyCat is taking it all in. and until next time…keep on stitching
