Easter Parade…

Okay for everybody who is counting for me as to how many projects I am working on at the moment, please add one more! There are nights when I just feel like stitching elegant or maybe challenging or whimzy that makes you smile or soothing, relaxing basketweave or beading. This canvas is by Needle Deeva and will be lots of fun…or at least I hope so!

When my sister was here last month the Deeva took us on a road trip shopping for threads and this is what we selected so far. It is a wonderful start with Impressions, Trebizond, ThreadworX overdye floss & pearl, Kreinik, Splendor, Mandarin Floss and Fuzzy Stuff…with the later being for the ducks.

This is what I have added since! Dinky Dyes, overdye Soie d’Alger by Threadworx, Soie d’Alger, Sampler Threads, Belle Soie, Gloriana, Silk ‘n Colors, a few more colors of Splendor, Silk Lame Braid and lots of beads! It is sitting as is to help inspire me and give me inspiration. Sylvester & AlleyCat are very good as they don’t disturb the threads…but if Felix were still with me, these temting little toys would have already been placed strategically about the house.

I am still stitching on the Rainbow Birds, and as Jane from Chilly Hollow said in her blog this morning, it is tedious stitching with lots of basketweave and French Knots…so I won’t bore you with them until they are finished! and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. Vicky, that Easter canvas is a smile! Cannot wait to see what fun you have with it. (And no, here in Missy-land, we don’t count projects in progress. That would discourage me from the endless stream of new projects…)
