and I am on a roll! This is the second of the three new Needle Deeva Hearts that I have finished stitching! The third on is almost ready to come off the bars too, I have just a few more stitches to put in. These hearts are small, the design size is 4″ across at the top of the heart and only about 2 1/2″ long. They are really a quick stitch, maybe about 6-8 hours!
This heart was stitched with Splendor, Soie d’Alger, Soie Cristale, Planet Earth, Anchor floss, Miyuki beads and the new Kreinik Candy Colors. Lots of colors packed into this small little canvas! I just need to do the stitch guide for this and locate one of the missing threads that I used on this canvas. It is the Planet Earth “Burnt Toast” that is part of the off center stripe. It was a new skein of thread that was the “purrfect” color for this canvas, but I can’t find it anywhere! Now which feline child should I blame for hiding it? Sylvester? AlleyCat? or did I just misplace it, never ever to be found again?
So you wonder why I say that I am on a roll? well the hearts are just about finished, the Pische Pocket is finished being stitched, the Easter House is coming along and the beading of the Cat’s Night Out…well I need to do a little reverse beading as there was this one gold bead that was just bugging me as I couldn’t get it to lie straight! I am moving along on the panda too and have given myself a deadline of 3 more weeks to have it off to the framers.
Now Sylvester thought that he would be my helper yesterday as I am working away on stitch guides for the July/August issue of Needlepoint Now. Wait till you see the May/June issue that will mail on Friday. 60 pages of amazing stitching inspiration as Elizabeth has outdone herself yet again! Make sure to check out the backcover as that young lady sure has “attitude!” and until next time… keep on stitching
The new heart looks super, Vicky. You are a stitching machine. I would absolutely blame the cats for loss of the thread. Now that I am thinking about it, I am sure that your cats are to blame for the loss of any number of things here in Maryland…
