Now that I have come down from Cloud Nine, well maybe just a little bit, I spent the day hard at work. Every Thursday morning I start out my day by attending a One to One class with my favorite Mac trainers. The same Mac store where Gay Ann Rogers, Jill Rigoli of Danji Designs and Cassie Prescott of Sundance Designs go, so the trainers there “speak stitches.” Every week they help me understand just a little better and I am always so thrilled with how much they teach me!
The hour goes all too quickly and all too soon as I head out the door with my head full of ideas of how to do this and that. After a few stops I head for home where I have a new stitch guide from Elizabeth at Needlepoint Now waiting for me to work on for the July/August issue. The rest of the day quickly disappears as I spend it at the keyboard and before I know it the cats remind me of what time it is. Being that they have me well trained, I do get up and feed them. More often that not AlleyCat does not approve of what is on the menu for the evening and she will literally run out of the kitchen as she is talking to me! I guess it was time to give the computer the night off and have a little something to eat myself before I settle in for a night of stitching.
I thought I would work on the Deeva’s Easter Egg House. Thank you Sharon G for your brilliant idea of doing the top of the roof like this! She had noticed which I did too, that one of the bricks was painted with one extra canvas thread. Stitch it the same as the others she tells me and then add some flowers as if they are growing up and over the roof! What a brilliant idea and I thank you for your thoughts and stitch ideas. I do love it and I thank you Sharon! Now it looks like I will need that road trip tomorrow afterall to look for some boucle’, silk ribbons and some flower beads.
Sylvester has spotted a bird that is playing hide and seek, just teasing and tantalizing him. It is so funny to hear them “talk to the birds” and until next time…keep on stitching
Very clever idea of SharonG’s! It will look great, too. Isn’t it nice to have clever friends?
