Happy Mother’s Day!

I wish you all a wonderful Mother’s Day, whether you are Mom, Mother, Mum, Momma, Mama or as the infamous Stewy says on the Spinster Stitcher blog Mo-Ther! Do something enjoyable, something that just makes your heart sing and your spirits soar!

My feline children and I will spend the day together, starting out the day doing my gardening, which in my vernacular really means tending to my orchids and succulents. Actually as I walked into Adelaide’s the other day which is the most amazing florist in La Jolla, they asked me if the cats sent me in there to pick out a new orchid for Mother’s Day? How could I say no? okay guys work with me here…so this is the orchid that I came home with. I don’t have this color combination in the greenhouse, so I thought that it was a great choice, don’t you? It has lots and lots of buds too, so this will in bloom for months. I am especially fond of the tiger stripes. Lately the orchids seem allot like buying canvases as my collection grows!

We will also spend time amusing each other as AlleyCat falls over in front of me and meows “play with me!”

Sylvester was considerate as he didn’t mess up the bed too much this morning! and settles in for his early morning nap

Then I will while away the day stitching and more stitching and watching baseball. and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
