Doesn’t everybody want a needlepoint pixie? I would love for her to live at my house. At night she could take out and restitch, she could stitch those areas that you are not looking forward to… Just imagine all the possibilities! I know that I would love one and you too can have your very own by calling Ruth at Bedecked and Beadazzled.
I have some threads selected here by buying a few new colors, shopping from my stash and from Ruth’s stash. Yes I have a box dedicated to Ruth’s stash which are all the threads and beads that she has sent me from other stitching assignments. You would recognize it right away from my other thread boxes as the color! ooh the colors, so bright and full of life. Along with this canvas she sent me some Gloriana Princess Perle and 12 strand silk in Ada’s Rainbow and Aurora’s Flame. Do you know that Gloriana named Ada’s Rainbow after Ada of Eye Candy? You know that you have arrived when you have a thread with your name. That is the one that I will use as I love the mix of colors in it and will really make her special!
I have the threads selected and all the stitches designed in my mind. Some brilliant ideas and then some not so. I always hope and keep my finger crossed that they will work out as well on the canvas as they do in my mind! I will spend part of the weekend stitching away while watching a little baseball on the tv.
The Rainbow Birds is ready to be picked up from the framers! I am very excited about bringing it home with me. Other news is that my personal shopper for the silk fabric for me to finish up my framing on Santa riding the panda has sent one selection already and one more is on the way. By Wednesday I need to go back to Newport Needlepoint so Susan, Peggy and myself can pick the one that we think will be just the perfect one. Last but not least I need to finish up my assignments getting ready for the summer TNNA show in Columbus.
AlleyCat was watching her channel of kitty tv and until next time…keep on stitching
What a fun canvas. Can’t wait to see you work your magic.
Love the photo of AlleyCat. She is studying the world from a safe distance.
Thanks Robin! That has become a favorite spot on the kitty tv as allot of birds come to those palm trees for “threads” for their nests! I love listening to them talk to the birds.
