A Birds Eye View!

I am enjoying this canvas so much that I can’t seem to leave the Rainbow Birds alone for very long without stitching on it! I rewarded myself with after a tough day on the computer by stitching the night away. My plan of attack has been going back and forth between stitching on the plume on the middle bird and then stitching on the leaves. I also did do a little reverse stitching in the eyes and even though I got allot of suggestions, I will probably just restitch them following the stitch count on the first eye.

So you are wondering why did I have such a tough day yesterday? My pile of stitch guides is slowly dwindling down as I finally finished the ones that I needed for Ruth Schmuff and a few more for Needle Deeva. When I first started this blog, I was showing off little sneak peaks of what I was stitching for Ruth and after many classes at my favorite Apple store and help from Ruth herself I was able to complete the assignment.

I also spent what seemed like several hours going through threads, beads and stretcher bars for the hearts and the Easter House. It is amazing that I always seem to do this after I straighten up the house and what starts out as an organized day quickly turns into organized chaos. Even though I have lots of threads, I see a road trip coming up! I was very good and practiced some restraint and did not pull any threads yet for my Cat Night’s Out. Now yet is the optimum word and the mood could strike me at any time to look for threads for it!

How do you like my box of blueberries? and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. You can buy the most expensive bed for your cat and what is it they love…a box or a nice crisp paper bag. Good choice on the bird eyes.
