A Day in the Life of AlleyCat!

From the cold shoulder that I got after leaving her alone for a very long time while I took care of those d-o-g-s…

to sitting exactly where I need to be at that moment…

to that most lady like position…

I have realized that she is not getting any better with keeping food in her tummy. Granted I know that she could lose a few pounds, but that’s what you deal with when you rescue a street cat or should I say an alley cat. I love her with every inch of my soul and I realize that as much as I wanted it to be a food issue, it is not…so we are back to the vet’s today so that she can get an ultra sound. I am very worried of what they might find.

yes I know that they will shave that tummy of hers…and I promised her no pictures that will embarass her!

so my thanks today is for every moment of joy that she has brought me and how very entertaining she is, always. From that little bratty meow to her motor that purrs up a storm…

and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. Many hugs! And assure her she’ll be just as cute with a shaved tummy. Our Watson just had an ultrasound to track down a mystery diseases that turned out to be Babesia, a tick borne disease that the tests came back negative for. Talk to the most experienced vet there if your tests come back negative, too. They may have seen a variant on the normal diseases that don’t show in the tests. As I said, many hugs!

  2. Hope all goes well with the test. Alley cat will need many hugs to make up for shaved tummy. My prayers are with you and Alley Cat.

  3. You made a good choice. You are a good Mom and Alley Cat knows that.
We are all praying for both of you. We see your pain in your words. Please keep us posted. Love to you all.

  4. Praying and wishing you all the best. It is hard since our babies (and yes, they are our babies) cannot tell us what is wrong. Hoping it is just a minor irritant causing the issue. Even little Augie boy sends his best wishes…he hates going to the vet!

  5. Dear Vicky, you and Alley Cat are in my thoughts and prayers; I have everything crossed and am sending every positive vibe your way…

  6. I have said a prayer for you and Alley Cat. Our pets are so important to us and are very much cherished family members. We have never met but my thoughts are with you, my friend!
