Bird watching!

I started out my evening of stitching taking out the red that I had stitched in the middle bird. Great way to start? oh well! Where do I want to stitch next? well I wasn’t really in the mood for the compensating and finishing up the medallion stitches. Okay I will do all the beaks! I quickly found out that I don’t have the stitch that was selected for the fuchsia bird, and where could that page of the stitch guide be? I have that question out to Debbie and by the way let me remind you (and her too!) that it is all her fault that I am stitching this canvas. If she wasn’t doing such a beautiful job on it with Brenda Hart, I just wouldn’t have to stitch this!

I worked on some more gold as I kept thinking, when will I ever be done with this gold? The turquoise section in bird #3 started to look rather interesting, so I moved onto that section stitching the Brighton Stitch selecting Soie d’Alger 135 and Kreinik #329. I need to yet add a bead in the middle. I am thinking that I might need a little more stitch on the inside as it may be too open. I will decide that once the bead is added. Sylvester sitting here supervising my moves…

and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
