Flying Fingers!

Not mine…Meredith’s! See her hands are moving so fast, that all you see is a blur. One of the best parts of the Fab Four class is learning all of these new and wonderful stitches. When they are doing that, it is an instant crowd gathering moment!

Meredith is demonstrating one of Tony’s techniques called “repoussé” and even though the Wikipedia definition refers to raised metal work…I believe it is the raised part of it that fits the bill! This is Kristen’s Zecca canvas that has a big worm at the bottom of the canvas and by stitching this in the repoussé style; it really brings it up off the canvas as if that worm is saying, “hey, look at me!”

These are just some overall pictures of the class and the stitchers. Now the rest of the pictures that I have left from the Fab Four are in no special order as I methodically go through them and make sure I share them all with you!

It was an amazing class as always. This was my 4th time with the Fab Four and I am already looking forward to next year in Chicago…

The baseball has been wonderful the last few nights. And even though I was sorry to see the Cincinnati Reds bow out of October baseball, I am thrilled that the Pirates move on! Tonight I will be rooting for the Cleveland Indians in their Wild Card playoff game.

AlleyCat was watching a different channel of kitty tv! and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. Vicky,

Love your blog and your recent entries about ANG seminar have made me want to sign up next year. You mention the Fab 4 in Chicago. Will they be teaching near the seminar?

    Thank you,

    Sarah

    • Yes they will be teaching in Chicago next year! Fair warning about seminar, once you go-you are hooked. Thanks so much Sarah and hope to meet you there.
