I really did stitch on the panda as much as I could work through on my own. I did! I did! Later this afternoon I will spend a few more wonderful hours with Susan Porta and we finish up all the burning questions that I have left. When I get I home I will stitch and stitch and I have promised myself that I will not venture out of the house until the last stitch has been stitched!
So I decided that I need to keep working on getting things finished, well within reason now! The last heart from Needle Deeva was 15 minutes from being ready for the finishers. I just needed to decide what to do about the leaves and being that they are only about 5 stitches each of 3 different shades of green and the fact that all those color changes in a small area drive me absolutely crazy…I decided to take the background color of the Accentuate and stitch right over the leaves. The flower in her hair needed a few more tacking stitches too. As much as I would have loved to have just found a bauble for her hat, I took the challenge and created the flower with 2 colors of 7mm River Silk.
The cats were pleased with me too yesterday as the 3 of us snuggled on the couch watching some baseball, well I watched baseball, while they watched the birds. and until next time…keep on stitching
I never have tried 2 Silk Ribbons at once. Awesome.
Love, love, love that rose!!!
Your Rose is better than any purchased bauble.
Love the rose- just the right touch
Thank you Robin! In my class in Dallas when we were working on the riboon roses, one of the ladies experimented with 2 at once. She inspired me!
Thank you! the biggest challenge was ending the silk ribbons through the back of the stitching…
That rose looks stunning! Cannot wait to see Santa, panda et al!
The rose looks stunning, Vicky!
