Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Now what does baseball have to do with needlepoint? well not much really, except that I do my best stitching with a game on! Today is opening day and I will be home to watch a game or two. I want to thank Major League Baseball very much for selecting today when I will be home as the day for that first crack of the bat, the first yell “you’re out” by the umpire and the sound of the ball hitting the catcher’s mitt.

Actually I haven’t had a chance to do much stitching the last few nights as sometimes there are other things that get in the way. I am hoping that I behave myself and don’t come back with too many new canvases from Dallas, as I really need to concentrate on my panda by Brenda Stofft, finishing the Rainbow Birds, the Pische Pocket and starting a new canvas for Needle Deeva which will be in Needlepoint Now magazine next year!

The middle size suitcase is out and ready to pack, in between innings that is! I am thinking that I might need to dig out the bigger suitcase as I have allot of stuff to take with me, Sylvester not included. and until next time…keep on stitching.

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. I am enjoying your blogs- and it is nice to see that my quilts are being showcased as well as you needlepoint. Have fun in Dallas.

  2. You always get a good night’s sleep when sleeping under a quilt! Have fun traveling. Congrats for the next year’s Needlepoint Now article. Team Deeva rocks! Hugs to your Mews.
