The printer has sure been working overtime as I get the stitch guides ready for the Early Bird Sales, the two days of the trade show, my class and a few mini trunk shows that will be going on this weekend! I couldn’t make up my mind if I wanted to go & have the stitch guides printed or do them myself at home. The quality is about the same, it is just the time involved. I had plenty of that on my hands as I sort of just felt like staying in. After conferring with one of my Deeva team members Robin, I decided to stay home and print…even though later in the afternoon I did need to make a quick Costco run for more supplies. It is just a few miles away and the break from the Mac was much appreciated.
Plants are watered, orchids tended to, feline children given lots of extra attention, laundry is done and ready to be packed again! I have my Needle Deeva stitched models out and ready to go. What am I forgetting? Stitching? you know I always take stitching to the shows with me and I never ever take a stitch as either I am too busy socializing or too tired from working. This morning I am headed out for my weekly breakfast treat at The Cottage in La Jolla and a little browsing through Adelaide’s and Warwick’s. I might need a new book as I have started Hotel on the Corner of Bitter & Sweet and it is not thrilling me. Baltimore is a long flight and I need something to keep me occupied. I did just finish Lisa See’s new book “Dreams of Joy” and that was wonderful!
Lets see in the stitching department I have finished the Pischke Pocket “Savannah” for my sister and started on the new one for me “Tuscan Sun”… just like I need another bag! but what we need and what we want are definitely not one in the same. Stitchers need to support our industry to keep it thriving! No stitching last night as by the time I shut the computer down, it was too late for me to start stitching. So I played couch potato with the kids and took in the rest of the Giants & Pirates game along with the Dodgers & Phillies, changing channels in between innings. Do I sound like the guys? only in baseball do I do that!
Sylvester was very quiet in the afternoon after vocalizing to me most of the morning. Where could he be? they are now two of the “I’m Ripe” peach boxes and he had nosed one of them under the coffee table and was snoozing away, offering up a great Kodak moment! I probably won’t see you for a few days, between traveling and teaching. I am bringing my camera with me so that you are all along with us at the Baltimore show. and until next time…keep on stitching
The I. M. Ripe lettering on the nap box cracked me up. Cats! They are always photogenic, aren’t they?
thanks Jane! maybe we need to see some new pictures of Winston…I am sure he is growing lots!
Keep reading Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. It is slow but gets much better and you will enjoy it. I just finished the Kitchen House which was a fabulous read.
thanks for the encouragement to keep on reading!
