To market, to market we go…Team Deeva that is. We are checked in for the show, room is all setup, price lists out, canvases hung, displays out, computers are ready and we are anxious to see all the shoppers line the halls! Robin taught her first class and you can read all about her adventures on the Bristly Thistle Needlepoint News blog.
Another amazing meal last night as we gathered at Kali’s Court in the beautiful historic downtown Baltimore. I am not sure what was better, the food or the company as shop owners and designers met for amazing meal with menu choices such as crab cakes, bouillabaisse, gazpacho, salmon and gazpacho just to name a few. The wine was flowing as were the laughs. I sometimes think that is the best part of the show!
I haven’t had a chance to roam the halls too much to take pictures and look at all the wonderful canvases and threads. I hope to be able to get a few hours of serious shopping in later today!
You will never guess who is here at the show?! and looking amazingly young but not aging one day since I have seen her last 10 years ago….drum roll please… Jo Ippolito Christensen! you know the bible, the book that for most of us was probably our first stitch book. I was so thrilled to see her and have her here at the show. Escorted by her charming husband Ralph and I hope to get to see them again and catch up on old times.
Well it is time to open the doors for the shops that are here to shop! and untill next time…keep on stitching
AlleyCat was waiting for me to get home the other day as she was working on her sun tan…
