Happy Thanksgiving!

A day to give thanks for all the things that I am most fortunate to have as a part of my life. First and foremost on my list is my family and especially my sister.

I am thankful for my friends, your tried and true friends that are always there for you through thick and thin and in all the ups and downs in your life. I give thanks for my new career and to Elizabeth who believed that I could do it! I am very fortunate that I absolutely love my work, wether it be on the computer or stitching my heart out.

I give thanks to the wonderful people that I have met through the magic of the internet. To each and everyone of you who read my blog faithfully and inspire me to continue. To all of you that I have met and say “I know you! I read your blog everyday!” That is music to my ears and I thank you.

Santa in a cornicopia? Is it Thanksgiving or Christmas? Well this is the extent of my Thanksgiving decoartions. A beautiful arrangement from Adelaide’s with my favorite roses Leonidas and a few Patricia Breen ornaments.

One of my favorites Mutts strips from a Thanksgiving past. I am thankful for the unconditional love of my feline children and the sounds of their purring motor when the mood strikes them.

I am thankful for the years that Felix the Cat was my soul mate. He is pictured here on the left with of course AlleyCat and Sylvester. I had to say goodbye to him this time last year and he is now waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.

Happy Thanksgiving to each and everyone of you! the kids and I know that a very busy week is ahead, so we are going to take the rest of the week off. and until next time…keep on stitching.

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. Thank you for the picture of Felix and the Gang – I still get a little drippy when I think of that day he had to leave us. May your Thanksgiving be wonderful – we wish you were here !
Thank you too, and all of the other wonderful readers of this wonderful blog – you make us laugh, cry, ponder and drool – sometimes all in one minute. You are such a good observer of our world!
