Mr. Crow is Flying Home to Aristea!

Well with me driving the car and Mr. Crow will be riding shotgun and keeping me company. It is about a 130 mile drive up the southern California coast with beautiful scenery and breathtaking views and then…then onto a few of the busiest freeways in the US! I am leaving behind the morning rush hour traffic, so I am hoping that it will take me no longer than 3 hours to get there.

I was glad that I took this picture yesterday and looked at it as I realized that it needed a few more stitches that center the vein of the feathers way at the bottom. So the needle and thread came out only after resurrecting Krienik 015 out of the piles of threads that need to be put away.

Here is a close up of the beaded bowtie, which I am thrilled with the way that it came out. It definately used more than one tube of  Sundance Beads! I was very careful to keep AlleyCat away from the beads this time.

The flowers on the hat will be done later, by someone at Aristea who has graduated from the school of flower making by Wendy and I definately do not fall into that category!

So we are packed up and ready to go, notes in hand and extra threads ready to be returned. Three hours there, a little stash enhancement experience, a little lunch and turn around and come back. Hopefully the traffic will behave so I can make good time.

My little vacation is over as now I have another week-ten days to get the Needle Deeva Easter Egg House done and off to Elizabeth at Needlepoint Now for the photo shoot. All I have to do are little flowers, now how hard can that be? ooh bite my tongue!

AlleyCat just loves this box and I don’t have the heart to put it away as she gives us yet another wonderful Kodak moment. and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
