You know these candy canes by Melissa Shirley? They are so addictive, well they are just like potato chips! I can’t stop stitching these…you know like you just can’t eat just one potato chip? There are 12 just on this Christmas Tree, but who’s counting? This is my 2nd tree that I put up for the holidays. Small, but it is still a tree, correct?
I love these candy canes so much and you would think after this many of the Christmas ones, that I would have had it? Not! They are such a quick stitch and before you know it, they are coming off the stretcher bars. Well maybe not that much of a quick stitch when I load it with beads and French knots, but that is such relaxing stitching for me!
This is my latest addition that I worked on over the weekend. A nice pale green Splendor and Sundance Beads for the snowflakes and a little Kreinik. This will be one of my new ornaments for next year.
I have been keeping very busy trying to catch up on things around the house that were neglected while I was stitching on Mr. Crow. The plants were happy to have a little of my attention, worked on a few stitch guides and wrapped some gifts for Santa to deliver very soon. My next stitching assignment is now finishing the Needle Deeva Easter Egg House. The basket needs a little more weaving and all the flowers and greenery need to be stitched. Not my forte’, so I am praying to the needlepoint gods to look favorably on me with flying fingers and not much reverse stitching. Then I need to write the stitch guide, sure hope I can remember what I did on it way back when!
Was AlleyCat waiting to be wrapped up? ooh I wouldn’t give her away for all the tea in China! and until next time…keep on stitching
