Bead On!

Beads, beads, and more beads! Everywhere there are beads. These are just some of the beads that I purchased to use on the latest series of canvases that I am working on for NeedleDeeva, the “Fab Firs.” As you can tell, I like to have several choices to select from.

There are Sundance, Toho and Miyuki’s which are all brand names of beads. In my selection there are 11, 14 and 15 size beads, bugles, hex, triangles, translucent, silver lined, beads with an AB finish which is Aurora Borealis and last but not at all least is the Swarovski crystals!

On my last trip to visit the home of Needlepoint Now and the TARTS, a special gift was wating for me! It’s a Bead on It Bead Board. Now what makes this so special?

Place some beads on the  Bead on It Bead Board…

Tap the board with your finger and they all turn over so that they are looking right at you!

Well there were a few stubborn ones on the outside that didn’t want to co-operate! I realize that the first picture didn’t have as many beads askew to really make the point… but it does work!

The link to the Bead on It Bead Boards doesn’t want to seem to work…but if you just have to have one…check them out at Red Door Beads. I really love mine and have been using it while doing some bead work on the Fab Firs!
Boy did it rain yesterday! and rain some more! I was a busy little bee in the morning while listening to the Yankees and Angels game and kept telling myself “I need to run to Costco for a few things.” Don’t hate me when I tell you that it is walking distance for me, but I wouldn’t want to walk back with my purchases. Of course I wait till it was pouring out to decide to go out! and then can’t find the umbrella. Well you know they say that it never rains in Southern California.
Think I am going to hole up today as the weather is still lousy and work on the stitch guides for the Fab Firs. AlleyCat is looking and thinking okay what can I take that she won’t miss?
and until next time…keep on stitching
p.s. and this blog is really getting under my skin this morning…as it just WON’T give me the space between some of these paragrpahs! no matter how many times I edit and update. It is being very difficult.

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
