Play Ball!

Those 2 words we all love to hear…play ball! Just when you thought I was going to talk about needlepoint…I interrupt the regularly scheduled blog for baseball! It is opening day after all. My home town team opens on the road and I will be watching and listening either on the TV or the radio. Next week I will be attending a few games at the old ball yard and I can’t wait! I need to wash my baseball t shirts and jackets, look for my radio and anxiously await the delivery of my season tickets.

I really do love my baseball and I enjoy any game, any time, any team, any where.

Even Mooch has to go into the game! I loved this one so much that my awesome framers immortalized it for me in a very creative frame that lives on my wall.

Sylvester was my right hand stitching assistant yesterday as I stitched the day away. He was really in a deep sleep and not sure how comfortable he was?! but it didn’t seem to disturb his sleep as I stitched. and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. Glad to see you have such a dedicated stitching buddy. It’s amazing how cats can always find a place to nap while keeping you company. hope your team has a good year.

  2. Go Braves! Lately it has been tough being a Braves fan…and especially since Chipper retired last year. But there is always hope and I’ll be watching them all season long. I put in an order for a new t-shirt this morning since my old one is just about worn out. And my rally cap is in tatters. Best of luck to your Padre’s (until they play the Braves that is).
