Crystal! now I am sure you were waiting for me to say a tisket, a tasket, a green and yellow basket…but I fooled you.

This is how I have been ordering my Swarovski crystals now. First for the Fab Firs and then for the hearts that will be in the July/August Issue of Needlepoint Now. These are counted out in bags of 100 as I work to get ready for Sample~It night. It doesn’t really look like there is 100 in each of those bags, does it? I second guess myself more than once and wind up recounting them more often than not! They look very pale here, but once on the canvas that is yellow and using yellow beading thread, it really intensifies the color. I love using these crystals. I should thank Ruth of Bedecked and Beadazzled fame for having her Swarovski crystal club a few years ago. Having these colors are arrive every month was like getting a box of fine candy in the mail! I know there are some new colors now, which I need to add to my collection.

These are the round crsytals and the Margarite’s for the Fab Firs. There are several hundred in the bags…hardly looks like it? I am sure that I will have to order more Margarite’s and I just did call and request more of the 2mm rounds. It is a relaxing task sitting at the desk and counting out the bags. I just need to keep the cats away as I could just see them sending several crystals flying through the air, never ever to be found again.

Breakfast was wonderful yesterday, my stretcher bars and a few threads were added to the stash, no orchids… well from yesterday anyway. I visited a bit before I worked my way home by early afternoon where I settled in for a day of stitching and some reverse stitching. Don’t you just hate it when you are too fussy and you just need to try this? and then this?

Today will be another day of stitching for me and the kids as I work through my newest challenge. AlleyCat and I were playing peekaboo yesterday through the blinds. and until next time…keep on stitching
