am too! am not! yes you are! now we are not! Well I have to admit that I never laughed so hard as I did in Brenda’s class over the weekend. We had our noses to the grindstone and stitched our fingers to the bone, wined and dined in style and laughed up a storm! Isn’t that what needlepoint is all about? having fun?
Let me explain this picture. One in our stitching group, one who will remain nameless, absolutely has a fit if anyone, anybody or anything even remotely touches her canvas. Don’t even come near it, don’t even think about it! She is an avid and voracious stitcher and does the most beautiful work, just don’t even think about touching it…period. Well she played hookey on Saturday, well not like I have ever done that before? and it was that time in the day when we ready to cut up and have a little fun. We thought that we would text her a picture with everybody’s hands pretending like we were touching the canvas! and what fun we had doing it too…I am sure that she will never forgive us.
I worked on my Easter Egg House over the weekend, Brenda gave me a few ideas for Witchy-Poo, a background stitch for an ornament for this year’s Christmas tree and then we worked out the threads, beads and stitches for this Sandra Gilmore canvas. Not that I can even THINK for a fleeting moment that I am going to be able to put it on bars and start stitching it anytime soon. I can hope can’t I?
The kids were happy to see me when I got home and stayed close by as I enjoyed a little bonus baseball and worked on one of my ornaments. I plan on staying close to the tv the next few days as I get in some stitching, a little more work for Needlepoint Now, start my stitch guide for Deco Kitty and enjoy the last few days of regular season baseball.
The kids were keeping their eye on me today. and until next time…keep on stitching
Love the Sandra Gilmore canvas, and I’m envious of the Brenda Hart class. But I never plan to leave my canvases unattended with you monsters around!
our hands never came close to touching the canvas! just goofing around and we know better…
I hope you’ll all pitch in for your friend’s therapy!
