Back to Stitching…yes!

This is one of the highlights from opening day yesterday, with the presentation of this amazing flag with all its pomp and circumstance by the women and men based aboard the USS Peleliu. The game was wonderful until about the 4th inning and oh well…today is another day.

Okay lets get back to our regularly scheduled program of stitching! I actually got home at a reasonable hour and stitched for a few hours last night. I promise next week I will start sharing the pictures that I have of the trees that are finished. I am loving stitching in the color palette that it has been designed in, but for some reason it is very difficult for me to capture the detail with my limited photography knowledge. So they are on their way right now to photographer extraordinaire, Robin King!

Leigh Designs had these signs designed for their room at Destination Dallas. Very clever! They debuted their new line Espania painted on yellow canvas to rave reviews and I believe close to a sellout. Leigh & Robert always take a day or two to do a little sightseeing after market. They were touring Southfork Ranch when the storms hit and life became very interesting. I will save all the details for Leigh to tell you in her newsletter due out very soon.

Keeping with the theme of The Greatest Show on Earth, Hyla’s window was quite the hit! A freinds daughter designed her big top. You know Hyla from A Point of it All Designs & Hyla’s High Cotton.

A canvas from Colors of Praise. I love Marie’s work and wow has her line grown! It seems like it was just yesterday when she debuted next to NeedleDeeva in Columbus with just a few designs, and look at her now.

Another cavas from Colors of Praise. See they were neighbors and if I did have a few minutes, I would have a moment to go and visit with her. Was it that or did I just have food on my mind?

This was one of the desserts presented to us after dinner at Papas Brothers Steakhouse. If you are ever in Dallas, you really need to experience this amazing place. You can even phone home while having dinner! Or maybe I can call in for reservations when we are back in Dallas next year

I just can’t get this picture any bigger! It does not want to co-operate…sort of like AlleyCat who is watching and hoping that a bird will fly her way.

and until next time…keep on stitching

In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
