Well she is in more way than one! Deco Kitty has made the trip ahead of me and is patiently waiting for our class at BeStitched. This was the beginning of my stitching process as I was starting to select beads and threads and add in a few new colors. As I look at this layout, I can see that I have stitched with some of these and some I didn’t. I may still use some of them as the magic continues to unfold in this canvas.
In another way Deco Kitty is waiting to be stitched, as in for me to get busy and stitch! I have the ideas in my head and I have threads selected for the water and sky underneath the archway, the sand and the border. If the stitches and ideas work out as well on the canvas as I can hope for, the canvas will finish up rather quickly.
Santa Baby has lived in hibernation this week as all of my stitching hours have been spent on Melissa Shirley’s Mr. Crow. A great canvas and I am loving every stitch of it. Also have been working on some projects around the house and enjoying the end of the baseball season as it winds down. I was thinking that maybe my plants could wait till next week to be watered, but I might need to check them today. It has gotten extremely hot the last few days so I am not sure they will make it till next week.
I will probably not see you for a few days since I am on the road again. I always need to make sure I have the time and then if I can get a connection… but hopefully the girls from BeStitched will let me take lots of pictures to share with you!
AlleyCat was enjoying one of her many kitty tv stations and Sylvester just had to get in my way as I was organizing my threads for Deco Kitty. Someone asked me if I have these thread boxes for all my projects? No, I just use them for my current projects for reasons just like this! Especially if I have threads from that will need to be sent back with the stitched piece, I want to keep them away from the cat hair, paws and inquisitive noses. and until next time…keep on stitching
Love those colors and anxious to see what you do with the sky and the sand. Bet it will be great’
Have a good weekend
Sue
Thanks Sue! and the temperatures are just as hot in Scottsdale as they have been in San Diego the last few days…
Vicky I am doing your class long distance–wishing I was there in person. If you do as good a job on the water and sky as you did on the grass and sky in Witchy Poo, it will be fabulous. Thanks for helping me find the stitch. It looks so much better on my canvas. Enjoy your trip.
Hi Margaret! Wish I was going to meet you in person, but I thank you for taking this long distance. Actually the top sky or the ceiling on Deco Kitty is the same thread and the same stitch as in Witchy-Poo…but I wanted to do something “unexpected” as Ada says! Thanks again and I hope you enjoy. Vicky
I’m also going to be one of your long-distance students, Vicky.
yeah! hopefully I will get to meet some of you someday…
Me too, me too. This is exciting, united by a kitty. We do have to have a retreat some day and get to meet each other.
That’s sweet Palma! united by a kitty…love it! Thank you!
