Do you remember when you were first grown up enough to go out at night? and then you would get home just a little bit late? your mother would be looking out the window waiting for you? Well I do!
I got home yesterday afternoon and guess who was waiting in the window for me? My kids were…(Sylvester had already jumped down by the time I took this picture) as if to say, well it is about time you show up! They both voiced their displeasure vehemently from the second that I opened the door till the moment that I opened a can of cat food for them. I wasn’t home for long by the time I freshened up and went down to La Jolla to hang out with Brenda Hart. We walked the streets of La Jolla and supported the local economy on a beautiful summer evening. I discovered a new ice cream spot that has opened and I will need to go back and check it out to see if it is as good as Jeni’s Artisan made ice creams.
My flight was unenventful, connections were right on time and my suitcases with all my new loot arrived safe and sound. My connection was in St Louis and there was a group of 20-30 men that were having way toooooooo much fun. It was absolutely handsdown the noisiest flight I have ever been on! They started partying the moment that they were allowed to order those adult beverages. The curiousity got the best of me and as were waiting to get off the plane, I had to ask…what brings you to San Diego? They are a group of over 40 (in age) soccer playing men… can’t play in St Louis I joked? well it sure is cooler here!
Okay to everyone who thought that I absolutely deserted them and would never blog again….the internet connection was soooooooooooooo bad in the hotel. It was very frustrating! Most mornings I had an 8am class, so that too left little time for the blog. I still need to load the pictures on my computer that I took at market and I still need to unpack. Tomorrow I have a class with Terry Dryden; Color Kaleidoscope and I will need to be on the road very, very early… what am I thinking?
This was the Fab Firs at market! It was Judee’s idea for the garland type stuff intertwined at the bases. They sure got allot of attention! and until next time…keep on stitching
Glasd to hear you made it home safely and that you had fun, including the crazy soccer guys; makes you wonder what are they douing right now, lol
That was the sweetest thing, kiytties waiting for you. That’s the beauty of our pets, they love us so much and are not affraid to show it. Except, of course, when they give you a lecture for being away – but then again, it is their right to do so.
Thanks Palma! Sylvester is almost always waiting in the window for me…but now that he is aging and his hearing isn’t as good, sometimes not so as he doesn’t hear.
Glad you are home safe and you had a welcoming committee waiting for you. I am totally hooked on your blog and did feel a little deprived over the last few days. I know you will reward your fans with lots of great eye candy!
Oh Nancy, how sweet of you! Thank you very much.
