I really do love Halloween! A holiday that is all about the black cats, what’s not to love about that? Yesterday knowing that I needed a break from stitching, I headed for my storage unit to rumage through the boxes of stuff to see what I could dig up.
I have been decorating for Halloween for quite awhile now and enjoy adding to my collection with something special every year. I especially love craft shows where I can find unique items, handmade and different, Halloween spirited items that you just don’t see everywhere. One of my latest purchases from last year was the black cat whirlygig that actually sits on wheels and has a bird on the tail. The bottles of Halloween labeled wine were bought a few years ago “just for the labels”, the scaredy cat mug which now holds a little orchid and of course my stitched Halloween pieces round up my decorating. I had so much to chose from, but I decided that this year I would decorate just a bit.
Of course we had to really get into the spirit by bringing out my very best Halloween scissors, a pair of black Dovo’s with the black cat fob. Great pair of scissors! But after seeing the new Halloween pieces from Fob Friends & Mag Friends, I think that I am in the hunt for the skull fob and the bat magnet!
I am taking a break from stitching away on Witchy-Poo and also from planning out some ideas for Santa Baby. I have most of my threads and stitches in mind and as always hope they look great when they are stitched on the canvas! I am just being a little challenged finding a few of the greens, such as the lighter green in the corners and for the 2 little Christmas trees. Not much thread, but I just can’t get the right color, which is driving me crazy! Not to fear as I will be seeing Brenda Hart again this weekend and I am sure that she will be able to tell me right away. How can I get much stitching done anyway with this hands down, some of the best baseball ever? and tonight there are 2 more games of win or go home…
AlleyCat is working way too hard supervising my activities. Tough life she has.
R.I.P. Steve Jobs. I know that my wish before I leave is to hopefully make the world a better place to live. He sure did that and more…
Love everything but what really caught my eye were the wine bottles with Halloween labels, that is so great. Also, it was good to see AC’s eyes so close; she does have beautiful eyes
