I think I can! I think I can!

I know I can! I think I can! Do you remember that? The story of the Engine that Thought it Could? Well that is me saying that…I think that I can, I know I can get back to the blog routine and I sure have missed you!

It seems to be back to normal as I test every possible link and from different browsers and through Facebook. I read in another needlepoint blog why do these people that mess with our technology feel it necessary to effect the lives of a little needlepoint blog? If you are that brilliant and gifted, you should be developing apps and writing software programs for the betterment of the technology world. Thank you to everybody who sent me messages and emails to tell me something wasn’t just right. Thank you too to my webmaster who fixed it and thank you to Google for finally propagating through it all and giving us a thumbs up!

Okay last I left you I was headed to the Needlepoint Now Studios in the Pacific Northwest. I have lots to share with you about my wonderful visit, just as soon as I load the pictures from my trip. Poodle puppies, product shoots and more poodles filled the week up! I can best explain going there like being a little child and going to the playground…you know that you are going to have a great time and you don’t want to leave.

Now I am home as AlleyCat is already back in her routine and was supervising my stitching time yesterday. She was hard at work guarding my stitching bag of the Thanksgiving “peeps” and the backdrop. I have been stitching on the backdrop and have been making great progress. There are 3 or 4 browns in the ship and do you think that I have those colors in the large assortment of  threads that I have been using for the other 11 canvases in the group? NO! It is not that much of a large stitching area either, just a little bit of thread in these shades of brown. What’s the deal here? I will be going thread shopping tomorrow.

Have you been watching the Olympics? I have and have been staying up quite late the last few nights. It really is great stitching TV, even though you do need to look up quite often….way more than baseball since between the play by play and the color guy they tell you everything that’s going on.

My to do list keeps growing and growing and growing! I have just about 3 weeks till I am on the road again…ssh please don’t tell the cats that. AlleyCat slept on my lap for hours the other night while I was stitching as if to say “I am not letting you go anywhere!” Lets see I have stitching, stitching and more stitching to do, working on the November/December issue of Needlepoint Now, writing piles of stitch guides and getting ready for my class at the American Needlepoint Guild Seminar in Philadelphia.

The kids are keeping me close by as my desk is not far from the balcony door. and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. I missed you! Glad your blog is up and running again – not only do you keep me updated in the needlepoint world but just as (more) importantly, I am kept updated on the adventures of Alley Cat and Sylvester! Welcome back Vicky, Wanda
