Was the theme of the Destination Dallas Spring Needlework Market this year. My flight left around noon Texas time, but by the time I arrived late and tired in San Diego, I had numerous texts and messages about the path of the tornadoes that were behind me. I hope and pray that everybody is safe and sound and that sooner than later each and everyone will get home. Leigh & Robert of Leigh Designs were touring Southfork Ranch when they were quickly shown the safe house. Michelle of Embellishments Plus! too was taken to the safe place of the deeper confines of Love Field.
The circus theme was taken to great heights by many and over the upcoming days I have lots of pictures to share with you. Right now I am still trying to get many pictures from my phone emailed to myself, but they are being rather difficult by not showing up!
Eat, Sleep, Stitch was cleverly decorated circus style! I love these t-shirts as that is my life most days.
Elizabeth Turner Collection had her own Greatest Show on Earth with this display of Needle Bling & Scissors Bling. Meredith proudly wore her love for the U of Kentucky basketball team all weekend long! Congratulations to Kentucky.
There was a balloon artist at the banquet on Sunday night creating these playful pieces, and it is comfortably nestled into the amazing pillows created by Funda Scully. I heard that everyone turned into quite a kid as they watched these pieces of plastic come to life. I missed the banquet as that was the night of our annual dinner at Rise n° 1 with Missy and the gang. Instead this is what I was enjoying…
Pecan Praline Souffle with Hazelnut Chocolate Sauce! A friend of mine asked if I went there to work or to eat? well to answer that question I did work and work very hard! The NeedleDeeva room was abuzz all weekend long with buyers. I had very little time to get out and shop. Usually if I was out in the halls, it was to a specific destination and with issues of the latest Needlepoint Now in my bag to pass out. Even though I have lots of pictures to share with you in the coming days, not that many may be of canvases I am sorry to say!
These 2 ladies really took the circus theme to new heights! On the left is Missy who is elegantly dressed as our fearless ring leader…but where is your top hat Missy? Claire is dressed to the 9’s as a clown. She really added allot of fun and spirit to the show as we loved seeing her run about the halls. Thank you for adding so much to the show.
For all of you, who hopefully missed me allot over the last few days for not blogging… well the internet connections were so awful in the hotel, that most mornings I had to log back in over and over and over again. I didn’t want to be in the middle of something brilliant and then lose it all. I will try to make it up to you! and until next time…keep on stitching
Glad to hear you made it home safely and even more to hear the event was a delight. Welcome back and we look forward to the updates
Thanks Palma!
I bet the kitties were glad to have you back home! Have they forgiven you yet? Can’t wait to see all the pictures you took.
yes and they have not let me out of their sight!
Glad you made it home safely. Hope everyone made it safely as well. What a hoot!!!! You guys had a great time, I think. Good friends, good food and drinks and all those canvases and threads and bling. Doesn’t get any better if your a stitcher…BTW, my son gave me an Orchid for my birthday…I am not a good plant caregiver so this is going to be a challenge. I left it at his house. LOL I am sure he will be bringing it to me.
Thanks Sue! Actually orchids are not difficult at all to take care of!
