Sunday was another get up and out really early morning as my much anticipated sold out class was today! I can’t be late for that very important date. OMG what if they gave my seat away because I wasn’t there? I just love this canvas and what if I could get it finished for the holidays for this year?
This a canvas by Kirk & Hamilton called Polar Bear Snow Globes. Stitch designed by Joan Lohr and Ruth Dilts and also team taught by them.
Jeremy of Kirk & Hamilton stopped in for a visit. If you are saying Kirk & Hamilton? I have no idea who are talking about? well they are a relatively new canvas company that have been around just about 4 years now. Their canvases are amazing and I could easily stitch just about all of theirs! They are the designers of the those great Halloween perfume bottles that you have been seeing around. I am sure that your LNS would be happy to order this canvas and stitch guide for you!
There was an amazing display in the center of the room by the Royal School of Needlework as they celebrate their 140th anniversary. My sister in black cats, Meredith Willett is there at the RSN right now teaching! I am so looking forward to hearing all about it.
A representative of the school was there answering questions. I sure wish I had the time to look closely at each and every one of these pieces!
Look at this new stocking by Rebbecca! While Santa’s reindeer are resting…well you know they are tired after working all night! Santa is shopping for Mrs. Santa for Christmas and he is shopping at the best place possible…her favorite needlepoint store! I love this stocking.
Canvases and finishing ideas by Barbara Russell. Aren’t these great? Barbara really does some of the best dogs on canvas.
Rainbow Gallery with all of their wonderful threads! Sally was very generous and had a goodie bag ready for me with all of the new colors. Thank you so much Rainbow Gallery!
Later in the day I got to rub elbows with Mama Mann…you know, Patti Mann, needlepoint canvas designer and the mother of Chris Mann…the heart throb with the amazing pipes that was on “The Voice.” They had made this picture for her, which she had proudly displayed in her booth. Rumor had it then that he was about to sign a major recording contract, which he did later in the week!
I hope you are having a great weekend so far. I have tickets to see Wicked today, which I am so looking forward to. Yes I have hardly been home since I got back from market and absolutely nothing is getting done around here. Well there is always tomorrow isn’t there?
AlleyCat is chillin’ and until next time…keep on stitching
Vicky, thank you for all your Market reporting, especially the pictures from the Royal School display! I got to take a class there once and I remember it fondly, I’d go back in a minute. I love the polar bear – that’s a must order. Talk to you soon!
How lucky to have taken a class there!
