It’s a chilly morning in San Diego, well for here it is. I tried to pull the covers over my head and sleep on a bit more, but I swear as soon as the kids see an eye open, there is no peace! Sylvester paws at the covers as if he is trying to pull them off of me and AlleyCat, well she sits on me in the most precarious spots which makes me have to get up. Of course they want me to get up to open that morning can of cat food. It’s not like there is not a little dry food that they can crunch, crunch while I sleep in.
I think that I was wanting to sleep in as I didn’t want to face this mess that I had made last night. Threads, books, more threads, threads that were taken out as I either didn’t like the stitch or the thread and then even more books. I really dug deep into the library this time by looking through all of Brenda Hart’s books, Julia Snyder’s books, Father B’s, Sharon G’s book, all of Amy’s chapters and even Pageant Of Patterns as I try to find just one more “purrfect” stitch to finish up Deco Kitty.
The girls from BeStitched reassure me that creativity is a process. I know that there will be plenty of that going on there this weekend, between Barbara Elmore teaching her Blessing Tree and Raymond Crawford’s trunk show featuring his new stars. I love them and would love to stitch them all!
After I clean up my mess, I am on a thread finding mission today to find that Kreinik 002 for Deco Kitty. A little more housework, a little time on the Mac and some more stitching tonight. AlleyCat was settling in for a little snooze in her upstairs condo in one of the two boxes that reside in the closet. These have been favorite spots of the kids, so the boxes continue to stay there for their sleeping pleasure. Some times she does sleep on the upper level of the boxes and I will share that with you someday. and until next time…keep on stitching
