A full day of great stitching, Sylvester & AlleyCat at my side all while watching some nail biting playoff baseball! For me it doesn’t get much better than that. I needed to run out real quick in the morning to get some more thread to finish beading the pumpkin. Yes it is done, but I needed to go back and stitch all the beads a second time as they were shifting causing gaps to show. For me that would never be acceptable, so I would couldn’t send it back to Ruth that way, that’s just me.
I spent allot of time again going back through all of my favorite books and digging even deeper into the stitch library looking for a stitch for the green area that was just the right one. I had the right thread, just had to match it up with a stitch. I found a few more possibilities that I will experiment with and hope that one of them will be just right. I am anxious to really start on Santa Baby but there is a little voice telling me that I do need to spend allot of time with Melissa Shirley’s Mr. Crow that I need to be working on. Then that same little voice is yelling at me to work on Needle Deeva’s Easter Egg House too….okay, I will! I will! Hopefully very soon I will catch up on all of this stitching.
Deco Kitty left on her trip to BeStitched over the weekend. I feel very out of place that she is not here in the house with me, but Deco Kitty will live at the shop with the girls at BeStitched until the class. I have the threads and stitches in my head that I think will be “purrfect” to finish it. I will just hope and pray that the needlepoint gods will look favorably on me and that my ideas will look as great on the canvas as they do in my mind.
This is a close up of my new orchid that I got last week. Right now it lives on my table that it is front of the couch where I can easily enjoy the beauty of the blooms. I set Witchy-Poo up against it to study the canvas from a distance, while I was looking through my stitch books. Sometimes it helps to look at it from afar.
AlleyCat thought she would pose for you as she sits in her most ladylike position. No sunshine around to soak in as the clouds roll in and there is quite a bit of rain in the forecast. I just love stitching in the rain, how about you? I just might need a day or two off from stitching, as I have been spending way too much time with my needle and thread, so I need a break! I can organize threadsbut who knows?and until next time…keep on stitching
