Stitching with the Divine Miss M!

A beautiful sunny morning at The Blue Bonnet stitching getaway. Notice that I was able to spot a cat!

Meredith was working with Sue on her selected Terry Enfield piece “The Feet.” I recognzied this canvas right away being that I have stitched it in both sizes and ooh too long ago! It is an oldie but goodie as I noticed the artist signature. I then realized that the lady stitching this is Sue, an avid student of Brenda Hart’s. I have been hearing about and seeing her gorgeous stitching for years and so glad that I finally got to meet her. We had fun stitching together and also texted Brenda a few times…of course giving Brenda a hard time!

Meredith imparting some of her wonderful wisdom with us! Such a great class.

Lost Pines is a resort and with that comes allot of amenetities. Ride a horse, rent a bike, swim, hike, golf and enjoy a ride around in the covered wagon. There are lots of activities for the little ones going on too. And a dog friendly hotel too as I saw many 4 legged friends.

A picture of the photographer taking a picture of the teachers!

Meredith was giving us a beading lesson on the Keep Calm and Love Martini’s canvas.

I was praying to Meredith to please find me a purr~fect stitch for the background of my canvas

I think my prayers were answered on this one as I love, love, love this! I did have to purchase a little more quantity of my threads as I continue to work this fun stitch.

Now it was Meredith’s turn to hope and pray…”Oh please love my stitches that I give you!”

Now if I have peaked your interest with The Blue Bonnet Needle Arts Retreat and would like to join in on all the fun…follow the link to see next years classes. I have mine selected already! Studio time with Brenda Hart. Come back tomorrow to see the fun night time activities that we had.

Yes Palma, AlleyCat is still sleeping in the closet. This time she snoozed in the lower accomodations, instead of going uptop. and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. Too much work to go all the way up, typical Alley Cat. Who’s she’;s starring at? Sylvester? If it is and I could caption it most likely it would read “don’t even think about climbing up here”

Can’t wait for my class with Meredith now in March. so much looking forward to it. It sounds like lots of fun

    • Probably you are right as he tried to climb on the couch next to her last night and he got that look “don’t even think about climbing up here”
      You will love Meredith!

  2. This is strange- notice all of the beautiful canvases, threads, jewels and needles- and no food tables in sight!
Where we not entertained to the hilt with food – tons of food in Philadelphia? Texas is NOT the diet belt! Inquiring minds need to be fed! What’s up with this Miss Vicky?
