AlleyCat Meets the D O G!!!

flowers

A very pleasant surprise awaited for me while I was stitching with the Fab Four at A Stitch in Time! A bouquet of flowers from all of my canine and feline families. Elizabeth and Donna in the name of Reggie, Shawnee, Mabel, Ollie, the 4 poodles along with Elmore James the cat (my BFF) and Benjamin which is the chocolate lab that allows Donna to share his home with her sent me this beautiful arrangement of flowers!

Why you ask did they send me flowers? they were being very sweet and congratulating me for my ribbon winners at the ANG Seminar…and those pieces with their ribbons should be home with me next week. I was totally blown away by their thoughtfulness. Thank you!

Notice that the flowers are arranged to create a dog? darling, but eventually I will need to bring it home. Hmmm wonder what the cats will say?

The cats were still speaking to me when I got home after leaving them for all that time. But I am sure that they were thinking…”but you brought a dog home with you? how could you?”

I am not really sure if the standoff is between AlleyCat and the balloons or AlleyCat and that darn D O G! either one they have both been very skiddish of it.

AlleyCat meets the D O G! and she is still speaking to me or should I say meowing to me.
and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?

  1. I didn’t go to seminar this year so really enjoyed reading your blog and seeing the pictures. Congrats on your winning pieces. Well deserved! Hopefully one of these years I, too, will get to take a class from the “Fab Five1” Enjoy reading you blog
