No AlleyCat, not you! but I am…I am headed to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, home of fresh salmon, microbreweries, amazing wineries, lots of needlepoint shops and of course the most important of all…that is where the studios of Needlepoint Now are located!
My flight is at 0dark30 Tuesday morning, really it is! A quick stop along the way and then I will be arriving into Portland to a wonderful day planned out for 5 of us by Elizabeth. A little lunch and time to explore the Oregon School of Art where I hear they have an awesome not to be missed gift shop. Ooh that can be very dangerous for me and the charge card as I love to purchase the hand made arts and tuck them away for gifts. Now if it’s got something to do with cats, it will probably have to come home with me. We are then going to work our way through a few of the many needlepoint shops that are located in the area.
Elizabeth has some other exciting things planned for us to do this week! Of course we need to make some time for work as the deadlines for the next issue of the magazine are fast approaching. I hope to be able to help, but if the best help that I can be will be sitting in the studio stitching and working on stitch guides, than that will be it.
My early morning walk was quite enjoyable this morning as I greet many of the neighborhood dogs walking with their humans. The humidity has come way down and the skies that have been overcast the last few days are clear and a crisp blue color. I have packing to do, laundry to do, a few odds and ends and especially need to pack lots of stitching, my Mac and some work stuff.
Sylvester is making himself at home on the new quilt! and until next time…keep on stitching
Travel safely and come home full of good memories, ok?
thanks Jane!
Good boy, Sylvester!
yes it took him awhile…
Will be a wonderful trip and over to soon, I bet. It’s a tough job, Vicky but someone has to do it and I’m so glad it’s you. Travel safe and most of all Enjoy!
Thanks Sue! yes it will be over too soon, but then I have going to Baltimore to look forward to next!
Counting the days until you arrive in Baltimore! Much food awaits us, my friend. In the interim, enjoy the Pacific Northwest. Have some wine for me. Safe travels and lots of fun!
I may never want to leave Missy!
We finally see the new quilt. Seems Sylvester is enjoying it a lot while Alley Cat wants to go on a road trip. Have a safe trip, have a wonderful time
