The Art of Frogging…

or is it ripit? or ribbit? the act of reverse stitching or taking out what you just stitched ’cause it’s not just right or it bothers the heck out of you. The bane of our stitching life to achieve perfection in our counts, colors and stitches. Seeing the frog made me think of all the sayings that we have come up with to cleverly say ripping out.

This is the resident frog at the pond behind the Needlepoint Now Studios which poked his nose out of the water yesterday afternoon to sun himself or maybe herself?! When you look at the picture you will see the frog at the far right in about the middle. Rumor has it that there are a few frogs that enjoy the good life and wanting to bring them treats, it was suggested that it probably wasn’t a good idea to try and smuggle a jar of flies past the TSA.

I have been having a wonderful time so far! We have enjoyed lunch out at the Oregon School of Art in Portland, stash enhancement shopping at In Stitches, Needlepoint Plus, Acorns & Threads and Harlequin Beads. We have enjoyed a night of stitching and an amazing gourmet meal of pan seared salmon with wild rice served over a bed of greens prepared by our guest chef Sue. Enhanced with perfectly paired wines and delicious chocolates. I may never want to go back home!

Did I mention that we have managed to squeeze in some time for work too? I finished up the last stitch guide while Elizabeth has been working so very hard as she turns piles of papers and files into NINE wonderful stitching projects for your stitching pleasure! Today will be more layouts, stitching with the T.A.R.T.S. Thursdays are Reserved to Stitch, more proof reading for me and dinner tonight at Kings Estate Winery.

AlleyCat wanted to be sure to still show her prescence…so her she is in all her glory! and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
