But that’s okay, it doesn’t bother me. I’ve hit dry spells like this before which probably lasted much longer! So when I’m ready, I’m ready. Instead I spend lots of time with the cats when I am home and this is their cuddlepile next to me. Maybe Miss Meow is telling me to talk to the paw, as notice her paw is on top of Mooch!
Instead of stitching I’ve been working on projects around the house. Last I left you, I shared the diamond painting of the Kokeshi doll that I got for Christmas. I needed to have a hanger added to the back and this spot was just the purr~fect size on my Asian wall! Just added a heavier picture hook before it took its place of honor. I did take down all of my ribbons, which I believe will stay that way and then dusted everything. I am still moving a few little accent pieces around.
So what else is keeping me busy? I have been working on organizing my stash for about a month of Sunday’s…. seriously! I realized that I was never going to finish this in a day or two, so just puttered a few hours with it every Sunday.
I realized that I had to accept the clutter that was about and just took my time. I am very happy with the way it came out and the open area on top of the Elfa shelf is for my current working bag. I need to keep it out of the cat’s reach as they think it’s a great place to sink their claws! Next up is some of my threads need to be separated and organized. Trust me, I have another area where there’s lots of threads, which is more my working stash. I destashed some things, but there is still a lifetime of stitching there!
My kids!
Stay healthy and keep on stitching!
It’s natural for interests to wax and wane. At least they usually never completely go away. My stitching mojo comes and goes, too. As does my knitting mojo and my sewing mojo. It’s funny that not all three go at once, but I rarely do all three at one time period. Right now, stitching and sewing seem to be at the forefront. At least you are destashing and decluttering and organizing. These things always have to be done. As much as I try to stay on top of it, I always put things aside that need to go back to storage…to be done later, and then the pile starts to fall over! Love your Asian wall! And your pile of kitties.
I can always count on you being there and I thank you! I too love the addition to the wall and of course my kitties!
I like how you framed the “be kind…” I have that canvas and I am inspired. Show more ideas how to store your stash please… need inspiration, ideas, etc… L
Thanks so much! Really no more cutting edge storing stash.
I love your beautiful Asian wall and your work always inspires me. My favorite is the Buddha piece, I would like to do that some day. The needlepoint closet is very impressive, looks great. I love the neat lineup of stretcher bars! I adopted two male kittens in July and they are very lovable and get into everything!
Thank you and thank you and thank you again! That Buddha piece was a very special stitch, but believe it or not it took me a lot of thinking and auditioning beads, threads and stitches.
Love your pile of kitties. And your closet is so organized. You said you destashed some. Do you have a favorite place to destash? We’ll be moving to our retirement home in a year or so and I need to get real about how much I’m going to move. So it’s time for me to destash. Just do one know where or how.
I love these girls with Needlepoint Destashing in Scottsdale!
