A little birdie is asking…do you remember me? Pumpkin bird by Needle Deeva and one of the new canvases introduced at The Winter Market in Long Beach just a few months ago.
The stitched bird as she is getting ready to fly off to the finishers. We decided that she was a she because of those tail feathers…what do you think?
And here she is back from the finishers! I just love her and as always I thank the finishers for working their magic. An extra thank you to Marlene for the quick turnaround. Really, really, really…did I say I was really challenged in getting a good picture that the flash didn’t wash out those gorgeous purples in the bird! I will try again in a different spot as I need to shoot a good picture for the cover of the stitch guide.
Pumpkin bird is one of the several classes that is being held at the Spring Needlework in Destination Dallas in just a few short weeks. I hope you are coming to Dallas! It is my most favorite needlework market. I love the intimacy of the cash and carry markets and I am really looking forward to it as always. Besides working for Needle Deeva in the Deeva room, I will spend some quality time shopping for stash enhancement opportunities and finally scouting out all the newest and most wonderful things for Needlepoint Now…and of course to share with you!
So if you are coming to Dallas and are a shop owner or with a shop, make sure you give Raymond a ring and sign up for class. There are a limited amount of seats and you don’t want to miss out…and if you do we will have some additional ones kitted up for purchase in the Needle Deeva room with threads, beads, feathers and stitch guides for your stash enhancement possibilities!
I did a little stash building a few days ago…but this was adding to my orchid collection. See buying orchids now for me is like shopping for canvases. Do I have that coloration yet?
This little black bag came home with me and of course it had to go on the floor for the kids. It only takes about 30 seconds to get them to come over and investigate.
AlleyCat decided that she would rather sit on the bag than in it! and until next time…keep on stitching
The view is better from the outside of the bag. The surprise factor comes from being inside… She is hours of entertainment! Much better than TV!…
so true! and more fun than tv too!
