What…is There no Stitching Going On?

Cats'NightOut

I take this break from our regular scheduled sharing with you what’s new from market and all that other stuff to show that I have been stitching! Yes believe it or not, there has been a whole lot of stitching going on here.

Not only am I making great progress on my latest NeedleDeeva project, I finished my Cat’s Night Out. Canvas by Sharon G and will eventually hang on my Sharon G cat wall. This one will be the 3rd entry in that grouping…well depending on what wall in my bedroom that I use, there may be more than needlepoint on that wall.

I am slowly working on a super duper get organized project in my bedroom…you know going through all of the books, magazines, clothes and just stuff that has been accumulating over the years. Move all of the furniture around, vacuum up the 20 pounds or so of cat hair that is laying in the nooks and crannies. I don’t get it…how can they shed so much and still have fur all over their bodies? Once that is finished, I will hang my newly framed pieces and sort of redo my bedroom.

Okay back to the stitching! I am absolutely thrilled with the way that this came out. Now I just need to write the stitch guide. The plan was to have it finished when I went to the framers last week, but didn’t quite work out that way. The stitching is finished, but I need to write the stitch guide before it is framed. Actually I really need to start writing it as I go along, instead of stitching, stitching to the wee hours of the morning and thinking, well I will write that down tomorrow. And we all know that tomorrow never gets here…and then it takes a little more time as I try to remember exactly what I did, what thread, how many strands, what beads?

I too have been working away on the September/October Issue of Needlepoint Now. The stitch guides are written, I just need to open up Illustrator and work on stitches. I anxiously await, just as all of you do for the July/August issue of the magazine which should be arriving very soon! I will be headed up to the studios of Needlepoint Now in a few weeks and I am keeping notes of all those questions that I have when it comes to Illustrator. I can’t wait as I always look so forward to my visits there!

Speaking of Cat’s Night Out…you know who thought it was her cue to make the mad dash! She fooled me as I was looking for that little face to poke her nose out the door when I first opened it…but no, she waited till the door was opened wide and well you know

she runs out the door meowing all the way as if she is saying “look at me!”

Sylvester is meowing his displeasure that we didn’t invite him out to join in the party. and until next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
