Thank you Rainbow Gallery!

Just when you thought I had nothing left to show you from market? Not! There are still threads, beads, baubles and bags… Not everything today as I still have not yet photographed it all! Then most of it will get packed up and head north to the studios of Needlepoint Now for their photo shoot.

Rainbow Gallery Threads…where would we be without them? They never cease to amaze with their continuous introduction of new threads and colors introduced at the Summer & Winter Markets. Thank you to Sally for bringing me the new selection of colors!

They did not disappoint last month with more colors of Petite Silk Lame’ Braid, Silk Lame’ Braid for both 18 mesh and 13 mesh canvas. Add a new color of Gold Rush “Fuchsia” too! That always used to confuse me when I first got into needlepoint, as I was always looking for gold? why do you call it Goldrush if it is green? red? or blue?

I am really loving the Petite Silk Lame’ Braid and have been using them quite abit in my sticthing. I have been finding just the right colors for the Thanksgiving Set by NeedleDeeva. I have been basketweaving with 2 strands on 18 mesh for just the right coverage and especially when there is allot of detail and you are looking for finer work.

Look at all these great colors! wow!

There has been quite the heated discussion on Facebook this weekend about stitch guide writing. The Canvas X program that so many stitch guide writers use is no longer compatible with their operating system on their computers. I feel for you and hope that you figure it all out! I am very fortunate to have Illustrator on my Mac which was installed at the Needlepoint Now Studios. I am even more fortunate as I also have the best Illustrator tutor in the world…Elizabeth! I am headed up there in a few weeks for more Illustrator training. I can’t wait!

Did you all have a great stitchy weekend? I did mixed in with a little baseball, a little Wimbledon and a little other stuff.

AlleyCat was trying real hard to get that elusive sun. and untl next time…keep on stitching

About Vicky

Needlepoint, morning noon and evening! what could be better than this? I work on the computer in the daylight hours editing stitch guides and drawing stitches that you will see in the next Needlepoint Now for your stitching pleasure! In between this, there is time for taking pictures of my stitching adventures, Facebook and writing stitch guides for canvas that I am stitching for Needle Deeva, Maggie, Ruth Schmuff and others. Mostly needlepoint you ask? well we will talk about my cats Sylvester and AlleyCat, better known as "the brat". Of course I can't forget Felix who was the love of my life for over 14 years. He broke my heart as he departed for the Rainbow Bridge last year. Oh did I mention baseball?
